Prestige is a reset the player chooses: the run’s progress goes, and a lasting bonus speeds the next one. In Anthony Pecorella’s account, it answers the wait for the next purchase once costs outrun production1. Games differ in what the reset pays:

  • A Dark Room saves part of each store at the ending, divided by a random number, and hides it in the next game’s world2.
  • Universal Paperclips adds a flat 10% to demand or to creativity speed per restart3.
  • Cookie Clicker sets the prestige level to the cube root of cookies baked over 10¹²4. Each level adds 1% to production, scaled by a multiplier that starts at 0, which five heavenly upgrades bring to 1 before other bonuses5.
  • Kittens Game pays one paragon per kitten past 706, and perks bought with paragon lower every building’s price ratio7.
  • Antimatter Dimensions pays Infinity Points from the peak antimatter8, then stacks Eternity on top, paid from Infinity Points by a formula of the same shape9.
  • Carry-overA Dark Room (2013). The ending saves part of each store, and the next game hides it in a destroyed village.2
  • Fixed bonusUniversal Paperclips (2017). After the ending, a restart adds 10% to demand or to creativity speed.3
  • CurrencyCookie Clicker (2013). The prestige level is the cube root of cookies baked over 10¹², each level a heavenly chip.4,5Kittens Game (2014). A reset past 70 kittens pays paragon, one per kitten past 70, and perks bought with it lower every price ratio.6,10,7
  • LayeredAntimatter Dimensions (2016). Infinity at 1.8 × 10³⁰⁸ antimatter, then Eternity paid from Infinity Points.11,8,9

Cookie Clicker 2013In Cookie Clicker (web 2.058), ascending sets the prestige level to ⌊C/10123⌋ for C cookies baked across all ascensions, and each new level adds one heavenly chip.Code
In Cookie Clicker, each prestige level adds 1% to production times a heavenly multiplier that starts at 0; five heavenly upgrades add up to 1 (0.05, 0.20, then 0.25 three times), and later lines of the routine scale it further by dragon auras and a god's slot.Code
A Dark Room 2013When A Dark Room ends, it saves each store divided by a random whole number (1–9 for goods, 1–4 for weapons, up to 100 for ammunition), and the next game hides them in a landmark, “A Destroyed Village”.Code
Kittens Game 2014Five metaphysics perks bought with paragon, the reset currency, lower every building's ratio by 0.0865 in sum: 0.01, (1+5)/200, 16/900, 0.02, and 0.0225. With all five, the Catnip Field's 1.12 becomes 1.0335.Code
A reset with more than 70 kittens adds one paragon for each kitten past 70; past 35 kittens it also adds karma kittens on a rising scale, 1 each to 60, then 4, 8, 13, 23, and 38 each past 60, 100, 150, 300, and 750.Code
Karma is (1+8k/5−1)/2 for k karma kittens, so each point costs 5 more kittens than the last.Code
Antimatter Dimensions 2016Outside challenges, a Big Crunch (Infinity, the first prestige reset) unlocks when this Infinity's peak antimatter reaches Decimal.NUMBER_MAX_VALUE, the cost threshold's ≈ 1.8 × 10³⁰⁸.Code
In Antimatter Dimensions, a Big Crunch pays 1 Infinity Point before multipliers until Infinity is broken; after, it pays 10log10⁡A/308−0.75 for this Infinity's peak antimatter A.Code
Antimatter Dimensions stacks a second reset on Infinity: Eternity unlocks once this Eternity's peak Infinity Points reach the cost of 1 Eternity Point, never less than 1.8 × 10³⁰⁸, and pays 5log10⁡P/308−0.7 Eternity Points for P Infinity Points.Code
Universal Paperclips 2017After accepting the offer to start over in a new universe (project 147, Accept), the player can restart in “The Universe Next Door” for 300,000 operations or “The Universe Within” for 300,000 creativity; each restart adds 10% to demand or to creativity speed, and the counts survive the reset.Code
