Notes
A sparse clone of the two driver files at the pinned commit. An emulator's constants say what MAME does, not what the console does; cited here as a cross-check of the console's clock and frame timing.

The NTSC Mega Drive/Genesis draws 59.9227 frames a second. Its VDP takes 3,420 master-clock ticks for each raster line, in both the H32 and the H40 mode, and an NTSC frame is normally 262 lines: 896,040 master clocks a frame. With MAME's NTSC master clock of 53.693175 MHz, that is exactly 3,579,545/59,736 frames a second (59.922743). MAME's driver sets its NTSC screen to the same rate, the master clock ÷ 10 ÷ 262 ÷ 342.src/mame/sega/megadriv.h L25src/mame/sega/megadriv.cpp L770Web
