- Notes
- A review of the 2007 Wii Virtual Console release, scored 6.5/10. Read for its description of the level layouts as "infinitely more sadistic", the purple poison mushroom, warp zones that send the player back, sparse checkpoints, and the statement that the Virtual Console version is identical to the Famicom Disk System original (unlike the All-Stars version). The review's "Nintendo of America was right, in a way" is its own judgment, not a sourced decision.
