Famicom Tsūshin's four Cross Review reviewers split over Mega Man 4's difficulty. The first found it beyond his own level, though a game learned by repetition that a good action player would want to take on; the second called it a puzzle of how to get through without dying, and noted the series' popularity in the US; the third, Mariko, called it a game for advanced action players and was quickly sent to game over in every stage; the fourth found it faithful to the series' tradition, the same Mega Man its fans expected, with a new charge shot that takes some getting used to (the atlas's translations).	`p. 38, New Games Cross Review, Rockman 4 column, first commentp. 38, New Games Cross Review, Rockman 4 column, first commentp. 38, New Games Cross Review, Rockman 4 column, second commentp. 38, New Games Cross Review, Rockman 4 column, second commentp. 38, New Games Cross Review, Rockman 4 column, third commentp. 38, New Games Cross Review, Rockman 4 column, third commentp. 38, New Games Cross Review, Rockman 4 column, fourth commentp. 38, New Games Cross Review, Rockman 4 column, fourth comment`	Magazine
