Scripted stage events
Moments in a level that run from a script, such as a scene at a set screen or terrain that moves on cue, instead of from normal enemy behavior.
A scripted stage event is a fixed sequence a level runs when the player reaches a place or a condition: a scene that plays, a wall that shifts, or a boss that arrives. A small script of commands drives it, often with waits between steps, rather than the per-frame rules that drive enemies.
