VGC reports that Jackson isn't credited, that his musical director Brad Buxer has said Jackson worked on the soundtrack for four weeks in 1993, that Sega has never confirmed it, and that former Sega executives, Tom Kalinske among them, have said any part he had was without their knowledge. Digital Spy's 2014 retrospective says reports suggest he left over the Mega Drive's limits on music.backgroundbackgroundWeb
Sonic Origins (2022) brought back Sonic 3 & Knuckles as one game, Retro Gamer reports, and VGC reports Sega saying in a livestream that it couldn't use "all the original sounds" of the Genesis game and that Jun Senoue had adapted the music composed in 1993.Chrzanowski in an official Sonic livestreamInterview
