- Tom Payne, the Sega Technical Institute artist, answering ICEknight's questions by email in April 2004; the questions and the page's framing are ICEknight's.
- Notes
- Payne's answers are the unindented text after each of ICEknight's questions. They cover the Metropolis foreground, "Robotics", his cut enemy designs (gator, dinosaur, snail, bubbler), Yasuhara's graph-paper maps, and his hiring. The question that names Craig Stitt's "Hidden Palace" and Brenda Ross's "Wood" zones is ICEknight's, not Payne's.
