- Luke Street (GitHub: @encounter) built decomp.dev, decomp.me, objdiff and decomp-toolkit, the tracking/diffing tooling most GC/Wii decompilations use, including PrimeDecomp's.
- Notes
- Statement by the tooling author behind the PrimeDecomp project's progress tracking, 2026-10-14, five days before PrimeDecomp vanished. He closes decomp.dev's public index and leaderboard over "hostile forks" that finish others' projects with AI, a "race" of low-quality AI ports built from decompilations the porters didn't contribute to, and slop media collapsing "decomp" into "PC port". The full text is quoted in scratch/quotes-metroid-prime.md. This is the closest public statement contextualizing why a GC decomp org might pull its public repos; no statement from PrimeDecomp itself was found.
