Game: Thermal Expansion.
Team CoFH's own history says that in 2012 King Lemming and Cynycal began modding Minecraft as Team CoFH, mostly so King Lemming could learn Java. While working on a farming and brewing mod, Brewcraft, King Lemming made a furnace that ran on Minecraft Joules instead of fuel, then more blocks like it; this led to the first Thermal Expansion, for Minecraft 1.2, with about seven machines, and Brewcraft was abandoned. thermal-expansion-history/origin
